Handling of several common situations of the straight edge grinding machine
I.
Unevenness (the ground has a large and small end)
If unevenness occurs after the machine has been used for a period of time, the reasons are:
1. Caused soft foundation. A cement foundation that has not been compacted cannot bear the self-weight of the main machine, causing the main machine to sink and resulting in unevenness. The foundation needs to be compacted, and the machine body leveled.
2. Caused by the glass support feet not being fixed. When grinding large glass, is easy to shift, leading to differences in levelness. It is only necessary to correct the support.
3. For machines used for a long time, if a small part of the conveyor chain blocks are replaced, the new and old blocks are used together, and there is a difference in height, resulting in the ground glass a large and small end. It is necessary to replace all the blocks or simply replace the entire conveyor chain.
4. The conveyor chain causes unevenness. The chain at the glass inlet end and the conveyor chain at the glass outlet end are not in a straight line (not level) with the front and rear pressure plates., adjust the height of the guide rail at the glass inlet end (which can be achieved by adjusting the travel screw rod below the guide rail), so that the 500mm long glass can be transported from beginning to end while sticking to the conveyor chain on the guide rail during edge grinding (after the glass enters the pressure by 40cm, observe two places: whether the glass on the conveyor chain below the pressure plate and the glass on the conveyor chain on the right side of machine are still sticking to the conveyor chain). If the glass on the conveyor chain below the pressure plate leaves the conveyor chain and is lifted in the air, the travel of the guide rail on the right A-frame needs to be lowered until it is level; if the tail of the glass on the conveyor chain on the right side the machine is lifted (in the air), the travel screw of the guide rail on the right A-frame needs to be raised until it is level. The adjustment of levelness of the conveyor chain on the left side of the machine follows the same principle.
II.
The head, tail, or middle cannot be polished
 head and tail cannot be polished mainly because the sprocket at the rear frame of the glass inlet end has shifted, causing the glass to shift when moving forward. First disassemble the machine sleeves at both ends, and correct the height and angle of the two sprockets at the glass outlet end, taking the two sprockets on the gearbox the standard for consistency.
The middle cannot be polished or is poorly polished: Caused by the front and rear pressure plates being too loose, the glass sinks during, resulting in excessive grinding amount in the middle of the glass, thereby causing the middle to be unpolishable or insufficiently polished. It is only necessary to disassemble the casing and tighten the clamping plate chain.
